The 2500 Watt hub motor is directly integrated into the rear wheel and thus brings its entire power directly to the pavement. Due to this type of construction, you need no gear, no engine oil, not drive belt or the like. The result is a strong torque and a climbing ability of 20 %.
Normally the Solar Scooter is used in the eco-mode. There you get 50 % of the performance, which is sufficient for normal driving. You not only spare the battery, but also increase the reach. By pressing the red power button you immediately get the entire power of the Solar Scooter. Now you get along quite quickly and have a very good acceleration. The power mode will be set back to the eco-mode automatically after 20 seconds. The maximum speed is thus reduced to 45 km/h.
With the disk brake at the front wheel and the drum brake at the rear wheel, you have a good braking performance. The brakes are activated by the two levers at the handlebar.
Batteries are charged over the battery charger which is included in the scope of delivery and which can be operated at any 220 V socket. The intelligent charger allows for partial charging of the batteries and automatically switches off as soon as the battery is fully charged. The environmentally most profitable type of charging is by using photovoltaic.
The Solar Scooter is TÜV approved and has an EU MOT approval. It is of the same class as a 50 cc scooter. In Germany a moped license plate is compulsory and for driving a car license or for 16 year olds the M-class is required. The Solar Scooter can be registered for 2 people.
